What makes me laugh about fans and athletes and what they think everyone else should be like.

Let's break down a few things in the last couple of days.  We are about to have an All-Star game for basketball and we have Charles Barkley and Shaq picking the teams.  Does anyone else find it funny that we are letting these two pick the All-Stars.  Let's look at one of these players off the court issues, I guess the NBA is never going to get it.  You want to make it fun.  Let me help you with this, let a season ticket holder of two teams get to help with putting the teams together.  Have a drawing in the beginning of the year to see who the winner is and let the team of that winner be the team captain. If you don't understand I will explain how it works later.  The NBA might have the second best All-Star game but it's far behind baseball like everyone else.  Actually the All-Star Game itself is usually bad but the other stuff, Slam Dunk, Three Point Competition, and that win out.

The Superbowl is over and we are getting mad because a rookie is out partying like its 1999.  Did anyone look at his numbers through the year?  I understand that people don't like that he looked better on the dance floor than he did in the game, but did we all see him the next day when the alcohol wore off?  The reason why he looked ok was called a drunking fool.  I can not say I haven't done that before.  I remember when I was in college and I got hurt, and I went out drinking and I felt it a lot more in the morning. You want to laugh a little, how are those NFL concussion policies going?  During the year this player did a flip into the endzone on his head, this player got up walking funny.  How is that policy working out?  The NFL allows you to see what they want you to see.  When I was younger if you lead with your helmet that was spearing, but they NFL wanted bigger hits and that's why they let things slide.  Now that they might be in trouble, everything changes.  It's kind of like MLB and steriods, they turned their eyes.

Joe Pa passing away may cause a lot of heartache for a lot of people but the only ones that I really care about are the ones that were in that hospital room when his time finally ran out.  In 2007, I sat in the hospital room when my mothers time finally ran out, it is not very pleasant.  I understand people have many feelings about Joe Pa, but he did need to lose his job, and he should have done more.  More will come out about what happen at Penn State and it's not only about Sandusky.  When you have to much power you think you are above the law, that is why some players become bad people out of high school and college.

I don't know what will come up in the sports world but I do know this, I enjoy the games but they are only entertainment for me.  If they are on, I will watch them, but if they are not, I have other things to do.  I heard something that made me laugh for a announcer the other day.  If it was his team that he roots for and his tight end was out dancing after a loss, he would be upset.  This is what I call reality check time.  I hope when the Superbowl is over that you can turn off the TV and hang out with your kids and play the game that you love.  It's only a game and that is it.  I have played at a high level of sports and I did come to a point to realize that it's only a game.  My family is more important than any game that is on or going to be on.  I worked during the Superbowl, and I had people ask me why am I working?  It is easy for me to explain, I work for my family.

Enjoy all the games but don't let it be you.

Why fans make me laugh

Let's start with Brett Favre.  You let the media control the way you think of him.  The media is at a camp he is at with high school kids.  Does anyone notice this... no.  You are just wondering if he is coming back.  I heard what he said in the beginning of all this.  If he is healthy, he would be back.  The media hawks him like no one else.  They call him a drama queen, and you end up calling him a drama queen.  I think he has been the same since he joined the league.  Actually, a little improvements with his personal life.  He is a guy that can play the game of football, and play it well.

A Bum...

Fans need to take this word out of their vocabulary.  I get sick of hearing that this person is a bum.  Are you the same person that does not give all he can at his job.  Well, I am not getting a million dollars to do my job.  Guess what, I know the money is different but it's still a job.  I heard someone call Favre a bum.  Really.  He played 285 straight games.  He has played 19 seasons.  A bum, you need to take a look yourself.  If players are not on your team, they are bums.  Give other teams their respect that they deserve.

We took sometime off but we are back.  What's going on?  We left our past on the site for now, so you will see how long we have been gone.  What's going on?  We have missed a lot and we will catch up.

Yes He Did!

Well, it's out.  He did take steriods, ok.  What is next for the fans?  What is next for A Rod?  What is next for baseball?  Will you stop buying tickets because of this? 

I don't think you should stop buying tickets because of this.  I don't think people will stop because of this.  I think people will stop because they don't have the extra money.  They say that season ticket sales are down, really?  It's not because of steriods.  It's because people are watching their spending right now.  

Let me break this down for people.  Have you ever went over the speed limit?  That means going 65 in a 55, or 45 in a 35.  For the past six years all the times you were over the limit you get in the mail the tickets for that.  You might not have been caught but someone was watching.  What would that ticket price be?  It's illegal to speed.  I know that is not the same.  Let's try this one.  Have you ever smoked pot?  Do you know people that do or have?  That is an illegal substance.  I don't agree with steriods and I have never done it, but does that mean I don't know anyone that has?  I know a lot of players that have done steriods.  In the past people did "Grennies".  Rules are broken everyday in the World.  You have to have the rules in place for people to follow.  They have 104 names in baseball that people took steriods, really.  How many people got tested?  When did they get tested?  Were they told when it was going to happen?  I have said this before and I will say it again.  Why did they make a rule that you can not cork a bat?  Why did they make a rule that you can not scuff up a ball?  There are people in the Hall of Fame right now that broke the rules.  "Tainted" should there be an (*) asterik next to these names in the 90's, I say no.  As much as everyone does not like Bonds he is the Home Run King in my book.  I never really liked him as a player but I can admit that.  You can argue this all day, but you can not say that Barry Bonds is not the Home Run King because he broke the rules.  The rule was not in place until 2004.  Did he lie to Congress?  Who has not lied to Congress, Bill Clinton, oh wait, he did too.  Has Congress ever lied to you?  Did Roger Clemens lie?  Does it really matter?  

I know this sounds cold, but this is what I feel.  Growing up in sports I have seen a lot of things.  I have seen players that I have played and played with cheat.  Everyone tries to get that extra little edge on his or her competition.  Do I like that, no.  I have seen it happen though.  What would I tell my child?  I don't agree with cheating and she will know that.  Would I let her take anything that is not good for her in the long run, no.  Steriods is not only a baseball problem.  It's not only used to make you a bigger and better player.  It helps you recover quicker.  This is not going to be over for a long time.  The Hall of Fame voters need to look at who they have voted in the past, and think.  Did they ever do anything to be better than their competition?  I don't bring up names, because I think that is a joke.  The person that leaked A Rod's name is a joke to me.  A Rod is not liked that much by everyone.  Someone that leaked his name probably is not an A Rod fan.  Why is A Rod's name the first one out?  I would like to know that answer.  How many poeple took the tests?  I know that 104 players got caught, but out of how many?  This is the question that needs to be answered.  How many football players are tested and who test them and when are they tested?  These are questions that we all don't know the answers too.  A Rod's admitted to this because he was caught.  Would you admit that you have speed in your car?  Would you admit that you have done pot?  Not until you got caught, even then you would wait until they had the proof.  Again...TEST...TEST....TEST... that is the only way you will know who is cheating and who is not.  Final thought, how much money did the person get for leaking A Rods name?  Everyone has a motative.     

Grow up People!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, A-Rod might have taken steriods?  Did he? Who really cares if he did or not!  They did not test until 2004 anyway.  That is baseball's fault.  If anyone took anything before 2004 you should not care.  What kind of test was it for?  Do you know?  Seriously folks this stuff is old news..... It is 2009 and they are talking about stuff from 2003.  Records are not tainted...Yes I said it... Records are not tainted!  Every year there is something that happens that is wrong but the rules change.  I don't think A-Rod is the only one on that list and I don't think there was only 104 names that were caught.  Who did the tests and who are the guys that were not tested and when were they tested?  Do you understand that?  You know someone was told they were going to be tested early and there was someone that did not get tested at all.  There is someone that got the test taken for him, and there is someone that retired before they got tested.  There is someone that was on injured reserve that did not get tested, people grow up and know the truth. 

I am not trying to talk down to know one.  I think you all know the truth, but you are afraid to see it.  You love your teams in all sports, and you want to think it is clean, it's not.  There is no team that had a team full of clean players in 2004 and before.  I think you know that.  Somebody on each team was taken something, and they still might be today.  Look at the money that was made from it.  Baseball made money and the players made money.  Baseball is not the only sport that has this problem but the media makes you think they are the only one.  I don't care if the whole Texas Rangers team took steriods before 2004, by the way look who was on those teams, testing was not done.  Testing is not done properly in all sports in my opinion.   Somebody is always in there that should not be in there.  I know you don't know what I am talking about but it might be hard to explain.  There are lawyers involved.  If you get tested and you did not know it was coming, you can fight it.  If the tests were not done to your liking, you can fight it.  All I have to say is, get off Bonds and A Rod.  They were the best players and they still would have been not matter what.  Who is leaking all this information anyway?  Who is going to make out on this anyway?  They are the people I don't care for.  I have never been a huge Barry Bonds fan but at least I admit it.  I still think he is the home run leader.  A Rod could pass him and than he will be the home run leader to me.  This subject is a joke to me.  I am bored just talking about it.  Test everyone or don't test and let them play.  If you don't test properly that is your fault and I will just call you, Football.  Just enjoy the game.  Just so you know, somebody leaked all this just so they could make a buck.       

What's Going On?

Soon you will notice that we will have two sites for Fansdontknow.   Yes, we are splitting up the site into two sites, fansdontknow.com, and fansdontknowuniversity.com.  Why?  Well, We thought it would be good for us to have two sites because of all the information.  We might have the same opinion on some things but we both come from two different backgrounds.  What do I mean?  One of us is more like coach and one of us is more like a player.   Fansdontknow.com is going to be from a coaching background, and fansdontknowuniversity.com is going to be more like a players background.  You might have noticed Scouting 101 on this site, and that is the reason for the split.  We noticed that people would like to know what we think in all aspects of sports and this we would like to explore for the fans.  Thank you for checking out our site and we hope you continue checking out our site.  We hope this will be a quick fix, but we never said we were computer people.
